Celebrate Your Dream Wedding in a Stunning Garden Setting
Set on a working sheep farm The Garden at Batts Farm, Pilsdon offers a picturesque setting for your wedding reception. Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Dorset's Marshwood Vale and surrounded by mature oak trees, our 2-acre garden venue provides a variety of stunning backdrops to design your perfect celebration. The Courtyard is perfect for arrival drinks before moving on to your marquee in the central garden. Themed in white this area has a neutral background for you to add your own colour. The Rose Garden and Pastel Garden are ideal settings for photographs. There is also the life-sized Snakes and Ladders, where you become the playing piece, to keep children entertained. We hope that you'll find the ideal space to create lasting memories.

Our History
Created from a field on our working sheep farm, The Garden at Batts Farm, Pilsdon was designed with weddings in mind. 2 acres have been landscaped to create a tranquil space for your wedding reception. Set against a backdrop of mature oak trees the garden is divided into several different areas to provide a varied canvas on which to paint your special day.
Our Location
If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track look no further. Set deep in the renowned Marshwood Vale The Garden at Pilsdon is peaceful and serene, situated not far from the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast with easy access from local towns. Whether you want a traditional sit down reception, a buffet or a festival style celebration we can accommodate it all.
Our Amenities
The central garden, accessed from the Courtyard through the rose arch, is landscaped with white flowers but with notice we can adds pots of colour to match your colour theme if required. The Courtyard has a converted horse box which is used as a coffee bar but can be turned into a cocktail bar if you should desire it. The Courtyard has picnic bench seating.
Enchanting Garden Spaces
Set over 2 acres, the garden is divided into several small areas offering you many different photographic opportunities. As well as the Courtyard and central garden there is the rose garden, the pastel garden, the vibrant long borders and the life size Snakes and Ladders where you are the playing piece. We can also offer a camping area should guests want to stay overnight.

Our Story
We are a family-owned wedding venue that is passionate about creating unforgettable memories for our clients. Our story began some 16 years ago with our daughter's wedding in the garden. Following very positive comments and with a need to diversify the farm we decide to open the garden to other wedding celebrations.

The garden is yours for the time of hiring to decorate as you wish. Add lighting, bunting, bouncy castles or barbecues.
Pricing
Hire of the garden from 10am on the day prior to the wedding until noon on the day following the wedding is £1000, excluding the erection of marquees which we appreciate may need to be outside of these hours. Electricity and water are inclusive.
On site help to plan your day
While we do not currently have our own wedding planner, there will always be someone available to help with anything you may need. We can also provide you with a list of tried and trusted suppliers,
e.g. marquee companies, caterers, bar supplies and florists.
